There used to be newspaper advertisements promoting Anusol that carried a slip which could be cut out to be handed to the pharmacist if the customer was too embarrassed to say what they needed.
Would anyone have actually used them?

Piles (there I said it)
:)))
I'm sure some may have used the paper slip, I have never been embarrassed - if something hurts and needs treating then it matters not where on the body it is.
I buy it for puffy eyes and I'm embarrassed :-(
I love the way this cream is called 'Anus-ol' lol!! (Hole)
I remember trying to buy some pile cream in Spain, not easy when you dont speak a word of Spanish, there was a lot of giggling going on behind me! Good job I was also amused, a little embarrassed as well I suppose.
If you had kept the proper name you'd not have had any bother - Spanish is 'hemorroides'.
I recall being in a very busy pharmacy once when a lady walked in with three young children, bustled through the queue and demanded something for head lice 'we're all crawling with them!!'.

The shop cleared instantly.
Lol, Mamya, I didnt know, I will remember that for next time!
Sandy, you can buy stuff online from legit chemists. Boots, Superdrug and a few others whose names haven't registered in my brain - I have the names elsewhere.
