When daylight is reflected off water, are the UV rays absorbed by the water, or are they reflected too? Thanks!

As with visible light, some goes through the water, some is reflected back.
If you sit by the pool or sea you will tan (burn!) much more quickly due to the reflected UV. Same thing happens with snow.
And then you get people who look like reversed pandas with white rings round their eyes where their goggles were.
Very true QmunkE. On a serious note make sure that any sunglasses or goggles you wear have the appropriate British Standards mark for UV. Some "dark glasses" are dangerous causing the pupils to dilate to let in more light and also more UV.
