I use tiscali broadband at 17.99 per month. Someone has told me that I can get a faster tiscali broadband at the cheaper rate of 15.99 but I dont know how to change. Is it easy? Am I being dim?

Phone Tiscali to cancel your existing subscription and tell them that you want broadband instead. If the person you speak to can't do both, they'll transfer you to someone who can sign you up for the latter.

Firstly be sure that this is what you want to do. The 17.99 service is the 512kbs service with unlimited downloads. The 15.99 whilst being twice as fast (1Mbs or 1024kbs) limits you to 2GB worth of downloads per month. Faced with the same situtaion I chose to stay paying 17.99 a month.

Anyway in order to do it go to http://www.tiscali.co.uk/broadband. Then hover the mouse over the orange 'members' tab at the top and click the '.myaccount' link. Then log in with your email and password and follow the instructions to change.

Oh dear, I am sorry.. you are on the worst ISP in the UK, the one with the most complaints. I wouldn't wish tiscali on my worst enemy. See the reviews on http://www.net4nowt.com  .. I was with worldonline who were taken over by Tiscali, I am paying 26.99 for 512kb ADSL.. Yes.. a lot more for the same service as new tiscali customers. I was promised upgrades but nothing materialised. I was eventually told by the dept in Milton Keynes (India call centre is useless) that I'd have to cancel my adsl and wait 15 - 18 days then they would reconnect me at the lower price, on a new 12 month contract. I am going elsewhere.. tiscali are the pits. Although I'vve been told my contract will be cancelled on 17th April, nothing has been confirmed in writing or by e-mail. They refuse to give me a MAC code fro migrating to another adsl provider. Do yourself a favour, ride out what's left of your 12 month contract then go elsewhere, even if it does cost an extra few quid. (ADSL user with them for 5 yrs.. treated like crap)
