I would just wash them thoroughly in hot soapy water, and make sure they are fully dry.
Sounds like an excellent purchase janzman ! Cast iron is great to cook with I think...I have a griddle pan that gets used practically everyday and I just simply wash it out with boiling water and a little detergent and let it dry naturally ....too much washing up liquid will ruin the coating....dont put them in a dishwasher though.
I would season them with oil and salt after washing....It helps make them less sticky

I would also recommend putting them in a warm oven if it is available after they are washed and dried.
this may be of help - mr jd seasons/puts in the oven or on the gas hob

Thanks Bimbo123456,I have always wondered what the right way to go about seasoning a cast iron Le Creuset frying pan and did not want to damage it.A great video! Also thanks jack daniels for the link,I feel safe enough to have a go tomorrow.

I have cast iron griddle pan that I cannot lift out of the cupboard on my own LOL
y cast iron casserole ended up as a plant pot!

Use the frying pan often, though. It's great.
We use cast ron almost exlusively here in the western U.S. One of our several Dutch Ovens is well over 100 years old and still going strong. You can wash the vessels in warm water and a light detergent, dry thoroughly and then, as has been suggested, wipe down the interior surfaces with a paper towel soaked in any good vegetable oil... we use olive oil. Be sure to do this after each use.

Since they haven't been used for a while, then clean, oil and place in an oven at about 300 degrees F for half an hour or so. Upon removing them, let them cool and then wipe them down again before storing...
cast iron - just put some miltons solution in them - let them dry - cook some salt in them next to reseal - do not scrub them out - just kitchen towel - they will be fine then
