Hullo neti
waves

I've got the hang of bold and italics, unless the above has gone pear shaped! but I really miss the colours, there must be a way to bring that bit back if nothing else......

Right Ed????
Yes - bring back the easy peasy way please 'cos very soon it'll be the silly season & we'll be too squiffy on egg-nog & cheap sherry to do all that faffing about.....

my words

Oh look what I've done!
No! If quizzling is to be believed it will cost us an arm and a leg at premium rate! On the other hand bring back the easy way ED:-)
I agree Neti. Although some of us have mastered the new procedures, it would be much quicker the 'old' way! It would also be nice to have colours again, 'specially coming up to Christmas!

ummmm1 - if you click on: Tutorials & scroll down to Posting Guidelines, it shows you how to do Italics, Bold, Underline & how to label a link.

Good luck.

Neti, Im glad I'm not the only one who misses the colour's. I think we,as AB user's should at least have the choice wether to use the colour's etc. The world, afterall is not black and white so why are we denied colour on here? AB ED,please,at least give us the option.
Thanks net and smudge
Hi nettie.

Despite 'Preview' being a good thing, I resort to the 'Preview' button most of the time - just to check I haven't forgotten a </> here or there. Quite often, the whole preview page turns italic, bold or underlined because I have forgotten to 'close off' a format somewhere.

Yes, it was so much simpler before....... <*sigh*>

(Hi Robinia if you are still checking this thread - long-time no-speak - good to see you again!)
hi brachiopod - you too! We're all still around but everytime we wander off from our biddy home neti lassos us back in....(it's just one of her party tricks).
Question Author
Hi brachiopod yes but I get confused with the preview and submit button so I've usually submitted before I realise my mistake!! Other times I preview when I think I'm submitting and then can't workout what's happened. Guess there's not much AB can do to help me. BTW Robinia has kindly told me how to overwrite the links and at moment I can still do it!!!
Briefly pops in.......

You're more than welcome ummmm1 - although I've noticed that Robinia had also kindly helped you with how to do Italics & Bold a few posts above mine!

Have a nice weekend all.
P.S. It really ummmm's in here - Are you the same AB'er ummmm1 & ummmm?
yes please ed, have to agree with netibiza, it was so much easier & better the other way!
