I presumed, not sure if rightly or wrongly- that the gaming category was also for board games etc. No?
Hi sincnoel,

Hi B00, you are right...when Gaming first hit the list, quite a number of us discussed board games, and somebody asked "What is/was your favourite counter/marker in Monopoly...to which many replied...

However, it very quickly changed to peeps discussing all the latest computer games...

Somebody asked the other week, about first games that you ever played (they mentioned space invaders) and some others...I asked if it included XXXX and got shot down in flames for daring to answer with a non-computerised game!!

Not been back on there since - shame really, because have always been game mad in my family...

Awwww noodles, that's a shame!

when all else fails you can't beat a good board game. Bu88er 'em, a game is a game is a game, you want to ask a question on there, you ask away!
Cheers B00,

It was great on the first day, like I said, but if you look in there now it's like the enigma code lol...I play some computer games, used to play nintendo mario when they first came out, before that Asteroids etc. Having been brought up in a family that loved all games, i.e. tiddlywinks, ludo, halma, mah jong, monopoly, marbles, fivestones, jacks - the list is endless - not forgetting my favourite CARDS - every game devised under the sun - poker, brag, whist, rummy, newmarket...

Shame but looks like the electronics have taken over...

anytime you fancy a round of hearts n00dles let me know. and bring your pennies with you!!xx.
ooo thanks stevie, always played for money, even as kids.

Stakes got higher and higher as we got older...

Still have the box of coloured poker chips we used, then it was pay up time at the end of the session!!

Guess my favourite was Poker, Cincinnati Kid - eat your heart out...always good at keeping a straight face - never gave my hand away...

Certainly miss those wonderful nights, playing to the early hours....
we should sort out an online AB session!!!

i'l get my sgt bilko visor!!
I've heard all about your online Poker, on another thread!!!

ok, after that entertaining exchange, i'll refine my original question ... it is time we had a site for non-electronic games. agreed? are you listening, ab editor? please???
Hi sincnoel,

Sincere apologies for hi-jacking your thread (although non-elec games mentioned). As stated before to you and B00, it is a shame if we cannot have a site for this, even if it has to be a sub-section of the one now...

Gaming does not need a sub-category - it is there for all gaming questions, not just computer ones. All board game questions belong there so if there are any bullies who tell anybody that the category is for computer games only, tell them to get lost!
