Naomi.. you might be having problems with your browser caching since the update. i.e Internet explorer is still showing you the version of the site before the update. Please try pressing CTRL+F5 together on your keyboard to clear the cache, and try again? I had the same issue on my PC with Internet Explorer 11, but it was resolved after the cache clearing.

You may need to clear your cache again to see the new updates.
Cheers and thanks Ed. Pressing Ctrl +F5 has done the trick. Everything appears to be as it should be. I hope it works for naomi.

Hans.
DillaDev, I’ve just cleared my browsing history again – I did it yesterday and the day before too – and I’m just about to press Ctrl/F5 again. That has twice taken me into a page I’ve never seen before – something that looks like a draft of TheAnswerBank (it’s certainly not the old version) from which it is difficult to escape. Even after closing it down completely it appeared again when I tried to go back into the AnswerBank as we now know it. I’ve copied the page to the Editor in an email. Hopefully he’ll recognise it. Right …Ctrl/F5 it is! Wish me luck!!
Yeahhh!! We have lift off!

And well done tech team and Ed, Explorer always was poor but a lot do still use it, so gotta be worthwhile.
^That was to AB Editor.

Gosh! After all this hoo ha, I'm getting the impression that everyone is just as pleased with the result as I am. :o)
Looks like Dilladev has shortened the original user name. :))
DillaDev, haha! I've been on board from the off - but with one leg dragging in the water. :o)
The celebratory drinks are on me.....if you don't mind drinking red plonk which Gretel and I have from a box...which we refer to as a casket. Well after all, we do have fairly high standards.☺☺☺

Down the hatch....Hans.
Lol Hans.........It's 5 o:clock Somewhere.
Thanks Hans, red plonk is my favourite! Clink! Cheers! Hic! :o)
The good news: I'm far less dissatisfied with it than I was on Monday (in fact I'm liking it - ouch, that hurt).

The other news: Text size on entering a question seems to be reduced (but not on entering an answer). Now I seem to recall one complaint earlier this week about the question box being too small, but I wouldn't have thought that this was a problem as there is the facility to enlarge the box - click and pull down on the bottom right hand corner. Have you made this text size alteration to get more in the initial-sized box, or is it a new bug ?
Quick update Ed. I know I said that I was going to run the lappie early in the week, but I didn't. Was a bit busy. However I fired it up this morning(Sat). I can see why some were a little dismayed. To cut it short. After logging into the "bank" and finding issues(all mentioned previously) I did a full clean start up. I Cleared all history including cache, deleted the old site from favourites, logged down by closing account (on lappie) and switched off for 5 minutes. Booted back up searched up Answerbank home page logged in and bingo. Perfick. Save new site to favourites(bookmarks) and all is cushtie. W10, Edge, on HP Pavillion g6 Notebook.
Canary, I think that the answer "box" is at reduced size until you click inside it then it drops down to about 10 line depth ready for an answer.(it also gains a light blue border) I would think that this is a space saving solution for people who are just having a read through and not ready to post an answer.
Togo; What you say; // that the answer "box" is at reduced size until you click inside it then it drops down to about 10 line depth ready for an answer.(it also gains a light blue border)// is true, but presumably the avatar remains the same size, but as soon as I click in the box the avatar increases in size alarmingly, occupying two thirds of the box and the cursor cannot be placed outside of it so I have to type over the avatar as I am now doing and that is why I replaced it with one which is more monotone so I can just about see what I'm writing. Grrrr!
