I saw jake's avatar and thought it was just two people with similar mind-sets shaking hands - the world is mine to do with as i wish, and no-one is going to stop me.

Perhaps someone could find Thatcher shaking hands with Pinochet or Markos - or Reagan - no difference really.

more i hate Maggie perhaps, and that she shakes hands with the devil, only it wasn't fully known about of his proclivities until fairly recently - some at the BBC probably did, and his driver, but the world and his wife knows now.
She must have shaken hands, bit like the queen, with thousands of people whilst in office.

Actually jake, to address your OP - I think the Ed has to consider the sensibilities of all on the AB, and that is what he does, and continues to do, and that is his job after all.

I think Ed took a balanced decision, which is his role.

I have had the occasional response and question pulled when i get a bit giddy - that's what the Ed is here for, to stop us all getting carried away.
