We like get your emails. You can email us here any time you want:

We try and get back to everyone with a serious or technical issue.

Recently we've had a couple of emails from members who seem to have real grievances which they've articulated well.

We'd really LOVE to get back in touch with these members, but we can't!

Why?

Sadly the writer failed include their email address.

So, if you're going make a well reasoned complaint, please make sure you include your email address, or at least your username so we can try and get in touch!

You'd recognise any I send. I always use the pen name, 'Disgusted of Tumbridge Wells,' and use green ink.

I was suspended about a year ago and sent at least one e-mail politely asking what it was all about but there was never any reply. I could re-send it, though the (ostensibly) offending matter has probably disappeared into obscurity!
Maybe it's AB policy not to engage in correspondence with the suspended (?)

More or less. We don't do "appeals".

Thanks for that answer Ed, I accepted then as I do now that AB doesn't do "appeals" and if for whatever reason I was suspended, then I accepted that.
I was only asking 'why' if anything for future reference as there do seem to be grey areas in the rules.

It usually only appears grey when someone is suspended :)

If it helps, we do READ such "appeal" emails, but we don't act on them. Sometimes they're quite amusing.

If a thread or post is reported, a password is needed. That suggests it is linked to the user's ID so why can the "contact us" facility not be amended to pre-populate the name and/or e-mail address?
