Ed. Can we have a Joke section to its self? Where we can see at a glance where to look or where to place a joke. It is a real pain that its hidden behind
'Phrasea and Sayings.
There must be those too that don't even know it exists.

Replies and comments are sparce too.

Perhaps we can have a poll on it.?

Yours hopefully. Jemisa.

Do you know Jem, that is one section I have never ever visited. I know it is there though. Is it a popular section? I am no fan of jokes, I like more natural off the cuff comedy.

I will go and have a look.
Lofty... don't do it!
I vote no if there's going to be a poll

If anything the subjects need to be trimmed down rather than increased, too many subject means people won't bother looking through them all and will increase the incidents of things being placed will, and indeed, nilly in any old subject.
Did willy just get filtered, or was that my bad typing?
your bad typing chuck, I reckon.
I also reckon there's not many replies in jokes because they ain't funny :)
I'm with bednobs on this, but was trying not to be so brutal ;o)

To each his own, opinions differ, thats life.!

You must be joking Jemisa; asking the Ed to 'Bring it out in the open'....Gnomes are little chaps which might suggest...you'll be lucky to get a satisfactory response from the Ed.:-)

Ron.
true, but if i wanted to read jokes i would go to a jokes site. However i want to ask and answer questions so i come here.
Question Author
Bednobs, strange as it may seem thats why I want to come here too.
But a touch of humour and a smile is quite heartwarming too. Lighten Up.

Well it's not like we don't have a joke section!!
And some users insist on using other sections for their 'jokes' in any case.............
Who would that be Jack...? lol
I actually dont think its a bad idea, the reason being that the topic area "jokes" has more regular usage than say "insurance", it is awkward to find and it may stop people putting jokes in serious topic area's.

jth & ummmm, are you joined at the hip.? ROFFL

jem
I agree with, jem. It is hidden.
A new user wouldnt ' think of looking in 'Phrases & sayings'

I agree with LL 'I like more natural off the cuff comedy' me too.

I'm in a very agreeable mood today.
Maybe you should have put that in jokes Jemisa. Hilarious!!
Jemisa...Please ignore my earlier attempt at humour.

There is a case for a clearly listed joke section.

So being serious and in keeping with your thread... Can you or any other ABer (including the Ed) explain why there is a box within our private Profile page to insert a joke which cannot be seen by anyone outside of Editorial staff.?......Could it be that's from where the Ed gets some of the ones he personally. publishes.!!?

Ron.
Is it me or do some people really not get on, on this site? im feeling some friction or have i got it wrong if so tell me to shut up lol
how do you respond to a joke? A string of posts saying "Arf arf" wouldn't make life any better.
