I know you can buy it for personal use in Holland, but I'm not sure if it is legal anywhere else in the world.
Cannabis is not 'legal' in British Columbia, Canada but the police essentially turn a blind eye on buying and smoking it (only in small quantities). I have even heard that you can buy cannabis in some cafes in Vancouver.
My brother in law says you can purchase it in Amsterdam..You can even get it in the shops there from what he says.
Amsterdam, and in a small part of the city of Copenhagan, Denmark.
Contrary to what the other people have said, cannabis use, possession and buying is ILLEGAL in Holland. Everyone just turns a blind eye to it, which prompted the popular myth that it is legal. Any tour guide will confirm this
You can currently buy cannabis openly and legally in 'coffee shops' in Amsterdam, although with the new law proposed to be brought in next year (2005), it might all change. The new law is about smoking in the workplace, it is to be banned, and the coffee shop being a workplace for those who work there, it is thought that you will still be able to buy a joint in the coffee shop, but you will have to smoke it outside! This may well be the end to the coffee shop!
I saw it on sale in Toronto and they did not even disguise it.
