me and my friend go to a gym together we are about the same level of fitness go on the same equipment at the same level and speed and do the exact same time on each machine but what we dont understand...

toning up

I have just joined a gym mainly to tone up, i plan to go three times a week, how long before i would notice a difference I do plan to lose about 10lbs in weight, but its mainly to get fit and toned.
