Vokera Boiler

Hi, my mother has a Vokera boiler, not sure at this moment the exact model, but since it was serviced a month ago her heating somes on but after an hour goes off and NEVER comes back of it's own...

lead pipes to copper joint

can old lead pipes be sucessfully joined by a compression joint to new copper fittings as the one i have under my bath (the hot pipe) has spung a leak twice from the compression nut on the lead pipe...
