apostrophe of a plural noun

Help! Can anyone tell me where to put the apostrophe in "sheep" plural? If I want to differentiate between one sheep's feeding time and that of a whole herd, is it the sheep's or the sheeps' feeding...

18 month old in own bed

My 18 month old son has slept in our bed for most of his life and its now getting too much. Because he is used to sleeping in a bed, is it ok for him to have a bed of his own at such a young age?
