'guarenteed profits' SHARES

Anyone know of any shares that are really cheap at the mo but are expected to increase (considerably!) in the near future? haven't got a clue what I'm doing but it might be fun?

bank account for Americans?

Does anyone know how an American national who is coming over here to work can open a bank account for their salary etc to be paid into? Do any American banks have offices over here?
