Global warming?

I read in the Mirror this morning that this winter has been the second warmest since 1659. The warmest was in 1868-69. So how come that Global warming is responsible for this years?

My daughter works for a supermarket. When she started in July this year she was contracted to do 16 hours. This was reduced to 11 in September. She has just been told that her hours will be cut again...
