Citroen Xsara 2.0 HDI 110 bhp white smoke from exhaust

Any ideas what the excessive white smoke might be. Only happens after engine been idling. and then accelerate, but goes after 50 yds. Head gasket checked & ok. Diagnosed faulty sensor regulating...
