Can i appeal?

I have just been convited for possesion of a class A drug (Only a small amount) and been given a criminal record, which i understand lasts for 4years? I was caught by a sniffer dog getting off a train...

Criminal Appeals Increase of Sentence

Nowadays it appears just about everyone who is convicted says they intend to appeal at great expense to the taxpayer. Should those who do and then lose their appeal automatically have their sentence...
