Roast Potatoes - best way to cook

Hi all - am starting to think about xmas dinner this year - what is the best way to cook roast tatties?? - haven't done that one before!!

Lemon meringue pie.

When making the meringue part, should it rise up when you bake it. I use 3 egg whites with a bit of salt and cream of tartar and whisk them til firm then add 6 tablespoons of caster sugar and continue...

chestnuts - what are they like?

Do chestnuts taste similar to water chestnuts? I passed a vendor on the weekend but didn't stop as I was loaded down but they smelt OK and there was a crowd around him.
