No one knows why and it takes us all by surprise - bear with it.

the reason is to stop spammers as I understand it as in previous times this has caused the site to go down

grazie woofgang!
de nada
think you're looking for 'niente'
actually no
woofgang hablas espaol? Que bueno, estoy encantado.
sorry neti, no, sadly I am a uniglot
Question Author
surely "Grazie" is Italian making "de nada" a perfectly good response. Had I have said "Gracias" then "niente" would have been the answer, being Spanish!!! lol
Oh well whatever!!
'de nada' is spanish.
Question Author
oh well, I did say 'surely' because I wasn't sure. Thanks for letting me know : )
I think it's also to stop people posting loads and loads of meaningless answers to a question in a deliberate attempt to annoy the questioner by filling up their mailbox. Shennanigins like that has gone on from time to time in the past.

Hi,

Buenos dias. Espero que todos tenemos un buen fin de semana. Pardoname mi espanol is a little rusty.

As previously mentioned in this thread - the quota is in place to keep spammers from infiltrating and creating evil upon this site. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we have the best interests of the AB community in mind.

Thats that then, thanks again ED : )

How many answers is too many then?

I tend to find myself thinking aloud and posting answers in installments, one point at a time if there are lots of things to consider in a decision.
