I thought he was a great sport on HIGNFY

Another character gone
His accent made Prince Charles' sound quite common.
RIP.
His passion shone through , and yes - that voice.

RIP Brian.
RIP Brian. I liked the fact that he had his own tastes and wasn't afraid to pan the stuff he didn't like.

Possibly the inspiration for the Fast Show character who was unable to walk and speak at the same time.

Irrespective of his sexuality, I did enjoy listening to everything he had to say.
He had a very unusual voice and, in reality, was very down to earth.

Hans.

Oh that is genuinely sad news, I also loved his voice and the way he'd criticise things in his own inimitable way. A real dying breed. RIP.
Not my type, but to be fair, I didn't know him.
His voice, his manner.....sorry again, not my scene.
I hope he gets to meet his dogs again as he so wanted to do.
Really sqad? I always thought he oozed 'upper class'
Sad news, a real one-of-a-kind.

RIP Brian.
I liked him, RIP Brian.
His comment which I liked re his homosexuality was, "I didn't come out of the closet, I just gradually emerged."
R.I.P. he was a very knowledgeable person and willing to pass on his knowledge in a way we could all understand.
He was much maligned and greatly ridiculed but I always liked him. A true character.
Absolutely loved him. So sad he's gone. Glad you posted this Mikey, I meant to and then forgot. My friend used to walk her dog in Kensington Gardens in the mornings and he would often be in there with his dogs and they would exchange greetings. I know he was passionate about them and supported some dog rescue charities. RIP Brian, you were one of a kind.
Thank you mikey, I didn't know. Yes indeed R.I.P. - I thought he was a great character.
Loved some of his quotes.

He was known as the UK's "most controversial art critic", and would openly criticise those who he deemed worthy of it, once calling Damian Hirst "*** dreadful" and stating that Banksy "should have been put down at birth".
Never heard of him.
