A million years ago, i attended an audition for Sale Of The Century at the Piccadilly Hotel, Manchester. There were quite a few of us there, as you would expect, and we were split into groups of 3 - in my group were another young chap and a pretty girl. We were each given buzzers and the show's producer hit us with 30 quick-fire questions - no Nick Parsons, i'm afraid. I was quickest on the buzzer for the majority of the questions and most of my answers were correct. The other guy answered about 5, getting 3 wrong, whilst the young woman answered the rest with approx a 50% success rate. About a week or so later, i received a letter from them thanking me for attending the audition but that i had been unsuccessful. The series was aired a few weeks later and in it was the young woman. Whether i answered too many correctly or whether i'm just not 'televisual' i'll never know:-/
