I probably wouldn't have noticed. I'm a bit stupid like that...
I didn't notice it until they drew my attention to it. I presume they anticipate the cost will be covered by extra revenue generated from it - after all Camelot are a private profit-making organisation.

Where every £1 goes
50p paid to winners in prizes;
28p given to good causes;
12p to the Government in Lottery duty;
5p paid to National Lottery retailers on all National Lottery tickets sold;
5p retained by the operator to meet costs and returns to shareholders
So's the lottery machine screens :-)
So where does it say how many roll-overs it is sitting on ?
They get a fixed amount 5% for running costs and profit and any costs incurred in redesigning its website will come from their money.

Their site will be high to maintain and host due to the large amount of teaffic it gets, and the ever changing data it has to display.
Old Geezer,

Camelot have 'borrowed' £75million from the prize fund. They are paying it back very slowly.
