douglas - "Och, you were doing so well for a few minutes Andy, then you went back to your old ways of trying to please all of the people all of the time."

I think you have been on here long enough to have observed that my posts are a very long way indeed from 'pleasing all of the people all of the time'!!

That is because that is something I have never ever tried to do.

I offer facts if I know them, opinions if I have them, and argument if a debate arises - but 'pleasing people' is absolutely not in my remit!
I'm assuming there are exceptions in your remit, Andy......:-(
Absolutely gness - and you remain top of my 'other' list for pleasing ...!
Thank you.....♥
Jeez imagine travelling all that way for a better life and ending up at Nichola Sturgeon's place;-)
Well apart from resounding No's it does rather prove a point or two.
A. We obviously have no ready accommodation available for thousands more migrants. i.e. We are already full up!!!!
B. If we have not enough accommodation then it might follow that we would be unable to support the extra thousands with the extra needs they bring with them.i.e. Our NHS for one is creaking and in danger of crumbling.
It would seem we are not alone. Hungary has no extra accommodation so an ex P.M. puts a few up. Take notice of me Hungarian electorate next time round.
The good old pope is going to do the Catholic thing and put a few up in his Parish as well.
Shame the R.C. church continues to extort money from their poor with threats of Hades and keep them in penury whilst lining their own pockets at the vatican. The Vatican could afford, probably,to feed, clothe and accommodate the whole lot. !!!
The Pope is to take two families, the generosity of the catholic church knows no bounds.
Even if I had spare empty homes I wouldnt allow refugees in.....charity begins at home...what about the homeless here that dont choose to be homeless...what about ex servicemen living on the streets ?...

gotta love the do gooder bleeding heart right on mentality....dont see them offering to house any of the above do we

how long do these people intend to allow these "refugees" to stay in their homes ?.....what happens when they start having problems with them, how will they be able to lob them out ?..you can almost guarantee whos rights will take precedence...

But we have to be fair, Baz...not many want to help the refugees but there are lots like you who can take in the homeless here and the ex servicemen....

So I just went with the greatest need....and your last paragraph won't impact on you if it happens......x
I wouldn't have enough spare plug sockets to accommodate all their Smart Phones and IPads.
Most definitely NOT !

Well it would seem that there is no room at the Inn from our latest members of the EU. It would seem they now realise what sort of club they have joined and already they do not like the rules that France et al like to bully them with.

Do any one remember the saying there is a Cooko in the nest this is what is happening now in Europe with all the Refugees and Migrants
I wonder how many among these 'let them in' sympathisers, will still have that beneficial streak running through them, when the day comes that the NHS can no longer cope with the increasing numbers of non paying patients and one will only be able to get free medical and surgical treatment if one happens to be in receipt of certain benefits.

Yes a means tested NHS, that is what will come, I'm afraid.
Have Tony and Cherie Blair offered to house a few families in their handful of big London and country houses they have bought? They could house a family on each floor easily.
It's a NO from me.
