I've recently moved into a rental terraced house, which has no double glazing and I can hear just about everything going on on the street outside and in my neighbours' houses (both have young families)

Given it's a rental property and I can't make (or even afford to make) any structural/drastic changes, can anyone suggest ways I can reduce outside noise so I can get a good nights' sleep?

Years ago I suffered with the same problems.

I tried to insulate the dividing wall between us and the next door neighbours. I can tell you it's a waste of time; the only answer is to move again, I'm afraid.

In the meantime, you could try ear plugs to try and get a good nights' sleep.
