I have 1000ml of fluid which is mixed at 50ml of chemical to 5 litres of water. How many litres of water do I need to add to use all 1000ml of chemical?

5 litres is 5,000ml. So 50 ml fluid/chemical to 5,000 ml water.
Or 1 ml fluid / chemical to 100 ml water. So 1000 ml to 100000 ml ( or 100 litres.) So your 1000ml ( 1 litre) of fluid to 100 litres of water. It is diluted 1 to 100 with water.( Simple maths for an 8 year old!)

Just do it in stages:

50 ml to 5 litres water

so 100ml to 10 litres water

so 1000ml to 100 litres water
