With the new format, the preview appears when I hover on a programme… but only once. If I move the cursor elsewhere and then back, the preview doesn’t appear. Is it just me and/or Firefox?

Works for me using Firefox. I have to say though I prefer the Sky listings: -

Baths, do you get the same preview repeatedly or just once? I hover over Countryfile and get the preview popout; I hover over Fake or Fortune and get the preview popout; back to Countryfile, no preview popout

Yep, I get the same preview repeatedly, every time I hover. I can go to another listing, then return + hover, + preview shows again.

I get the preview pop out every time I hover on it.

Move the cursor to More and click then the preview will appear on another tab and in the old format.
