I wonder how Reeva's family are feeling about this news. It was expected he would apply though, so perhaps not a shock. Due out in August.

Well, that didn't last long!
Nooooooooooooo. :(
Hardly surprising though.

As for how her family fell - cheated probably.

No it didn't Naomi, disgraceful. I would be livid if I were Reeva's mother. But they have given a statement to the press saying they have forgiven him but he hasn't spent long enough in prison - something like that anyway. A graceful and dignified statement from her family as usual.
Her family must be feeling helpless, distraught and furious. Dreadful.
This whole affair was a farce from beginning to end, so I am not remotely surprised at this news ::::

I don't think anyone who followed the case is surprised Mikey, it was expected. It's just now it's become reality it hits you smack in the face. Wouldn't be surprised if he's training, and then competing again next as if this dreadful tragedy never happened. Sigh!
I don't know what was going through the mind of Oscar Pistorius at the time of the shooting, but since the end of apartheid, South Africa has became a dangerous place for white South Africans to live and most of them will be on their guard most of the time. He could well have been nervous when he heard the presence of someone in the bathroom

Reeva's family will have been warned in advance by their lawyers that Pistorius could be released early, so they won't be totally surprised
It's certainly a smack in the face for her family.
Isn't South Africa one of the countries that handed an eye watering bribe to FIFA?
