Hello Everybody, im after some information on printer problems. i have an Epson Stylus 460 Colour printer that i have used trouble free for years, but there is one thing that is "niggling" me. My PC used to run on Windows 98, and everytime i printed anything i got a dialog box displaying how much ink i had left in each cartridge (so i had an idea when to buy a new one). i have had Windows XP installed for about 2 years now, but cannot get the ink remaining display box up, anybody any ideas please.

(p.s. it was my nephew who installed XP and is coming back to sort out the problem, 2 years ago, but still waiting)

Thanks, Bye For Now, The Kid.

It could be a driver issue or the printer monitoring service being disabled or blocked by a firewall.

Perhaps downloading/installing the latest driver will cure your woes.

Drivers & useful information can be found here.

Once you've got the latest drivers (as above), have a look at this - you might need it someday:-
