Clearing out some papers I came across a giro I have not cashed. It's a few years old. Am I still able to hand it over at my bank or would I have to hand it back to the DWP for reissue. It's only for less than £20 but it's better in my account than theirs.

usually there is a life on a giro..does it not say anywhere ? as giros were phased out a log time ago it is unlikely to still be valid though
Take it to the bank and ask them
usually 6 months...DWP may reissue if you ask
