I read this morning that 1 in 4 meals in Hospital are throw away, taking in consideration that not all meals are made by the same company,is this because the food is of poor quality or maybe when people are in Hospital the last thing that they are interested is food ,I have found as a diabetic that the choice for Diabetics is very poor, especially desserts.
If in our local newspaper they run a story regarding the poor quality of hospital you can be sure that over the next few days Letters are printed praising the food that they have had on different visits,I have been to the same Hospital and I for one would like to know which menu they chose from because each time I have eaten "Hospital Food" it has been dreadful I must have contributed to the meals wastage figures.
Please don't get me started on Tea & Coffee that is another bone of contention with me ,how on earth we cannot make a decent cuppa is totally beyond me.

Some people are too ill to eat but food still has to be provided.

I've always found hospital food to be a bit hit and miss. Sometimes it's acceptable and others times it looks like dog food.
This is old news....the blood sweat and tears that has been wasted on trying to make changes.....

It very much depends, my first stay in a local hospital, the food was lovely and I wondered what people were going on about when they complained about hospital food.

I found out what they meant when my next stay was in Bart's in London. The food there was unrecognizable, I honestly could not work out some days what it was supposed to be.
