I have downloaded the malabyte thing majig (to the best of my ability) now should that show up on the Control Panel if so - it is not there.

what do you mean - it should be mentioned on desktop - just after lookign - no not there. What next pixie it is definitely on Control Panel.

I have that many threads about this bloody thing I could run a coat up.

Redownload it from tony's link. There will be a ticked box to say add it to desktop. Don't untick it x

You say that you've downloaded it, Conne but have you actually installed it yet (by double-clicking on the file that you downloaded)?

Click start and search for it.

Good morning jenny.....Only just now have I picked-up your posting.

I think Buenchico could well be on the right track.

It is possible that you have Not run the installation file which should be in your 'Downloads' folder and would be labelled 'mbam-setup'.
Click it open and then click 'run' and follow all instructions to install. Completing this operation will then give a 'short cut' icon on your opening screen and clicking the icon will enable you do do a scan with Malwarebytes.......It could take a half hour or more to do the Threat Scan and you might be very surprised at the number of Malware items you find.

Well hans - I only done what I did yesterday - and got it just took may be 20 seconds - it asked for save file or cancel which saved file.

Anyway at that minimised things and dragged the mbam-set-up-sem2.1.6.l022exe to the desk top - - is it malabyte saved - if not Hans - there is nothing more I can do - as it keeps on going back to Download and going back to download all the time.

Well after I dragged the mgm thing onto desk top - things started to move as it started to allow to me install. Think I am getting there at last - and I have a new coat ready for you for the summer. Hope you like navy blue LOL

One tiny thing I noticed just by chance - it said Malabytes Trial - I hope nearer the time when the trial is up I can change it to free - there was nothing to let me see home, free, premium etc. but it is on the desktop - halallaluaah

Cheers. You can revert to the free edition at any time. For the moment I think it would be easier to keep the trial. However, if you wish to revert right now then the following link explains the procedure.
