When was this first spoken by Winston Churchill and where.Where was it first recorded by Winston Churchhill . How did the general public first hear this speech.I think it was first spoken in the house of commons in 1940 the rest of the questions I'm having trouble finding the answers any help would be appreciated.

It was not extracts that were broadcast the same evening in fact, but a report on the speech on BBC News was the way the public first got to know it (all this discovered by googling: I'm no expert, you just have to go on looking!)

As far as I can see, it was made in the House of Commons on June 4th 1940 & extracts were broadcast the same evening by the BBC.Where it was first recorded I am still trying to find out (sources: wikipedia & BBC archives).
I've got it now: not until 1949, at his home in Chartwell!
