No reported problems by the F.O. so far. They have a web site for trouble spots that travellers can visit.
The terror threat is "General".Problem with strikes and resulting demos so advised to steer clear. Disruption at ports etc due to strikes. No big dramas really.
London is about the same distance from the Greek Islands as Libya is. I've just used Google Maps for Tripoli - Rhodes and got 3700 km. London's much the same.
@1415
when I typed "advised to stay clear" I meant of the demos NOT the Greek Islands. I will be in Malta on Tuesday and that is a darn sight nearer to Libya and Sicily!! I have no worries.
France, Spain and Italy are far closer to Libya then the Greek islands so that bit of your question is irrelevant. The only thing I'd worry about is their financial crisis.
it depends where you are. Crete's only 300 miles or so from Benghazi.
