It has just been announced that a family friend, Andrew Butt has been sentenced to 28 days for lying to the Court. Minnock's Mother was prevented from leaving the Court today and has now been sentenced to 10 days in jail for her part in the lying :

I think that everybody who purports to want the best for the child should stop interfering, stop faffing about and tell the truth with immediate effect, before more potential harm is done to this child.

Re mushroom's post @ 12.31. I wouldn't say that was the best move given the trouble she's in and she's better be careful what she says. Wonder what the court will make of this.
Minnock is the author of her own misfortune. Both the child and his father have suffered because of her behaviour and she only has herself to blame for her current predicament.

What are you trying to say JJ, no child should be given to the fathers in case they kill them.

There are many women who have killed their children, or left them in rubbish bins etc at birth.

Incidentally in this case the police have not arrested the mother, but will leave it to the Family Courts, excuse me but isn't this how all this affair started?

Be interesting to see what the Family Court has to say about it. That is of course if we are allowed to know now that mother is back. I see the child is now in the care of his father.
Peter Pedant wrote: "The minnock has been saying the father has been abusing the child, and even the other "victims" are saying no he didnt, and she has been saying no they were coached to say that, and the court has been wondering if there HAS been coaching"

Where are you getting that from? I have read the judgements linked to earlier in this thread and there was no mention of any coaching. And who are these "other victims" anyway?
