I need to know my wifi password.

In the past I was told of a method to reveal the password on one of my devices. Since then I have upgraded to a new laptop with Win8 and have an iPad.

Can anyone tell me how to switch the settings on either device to reveal what me password is?

It should say it on the router?
Is it on the back of the router?

Sadly not on the router :-(
If you click on the internet connection icon on bottom right of your screen, then right click on the hub you are connected to, then select properties it will show you there your security number.

Don't see how this thread can be a help to potential hackers - you have to be connected to the router in the first place before you can get the password.

I got my husband a laptop two years ago, it was a display model. I excitedly went home and got it up and running, saved all his most frequented internet pages under favourites, etc. I had a call from the store two hours later, saying 'I'm so sorry, I forgot to let you know the password to log-on'. Too late, I'd already guessed it! I also seem to guess most of my colleagues passwords. Yet I find I have to reset passwords for sites online on a weekly basis as I always forget them.

Oi Talbot, I have a diverse range of talents!

Hacking or, as I prefer, penetration testing are too boring for me to entertain though. Reading Methyls posts are entertaining though.....
