Put some sliced bananas in a blender with skimmed milk and a scoop of vanilla icecream (optional) and whizz! Lovely and thick banana shake.
Peel the skins off and eat raw. But seriously, its definatly not the weather but BBQ banans are really good. I think you can also make Banana cake (bit like carrot cake).

1. Bananas can be stored in the refrigerator if you individually wrap them in aluminum foil. They won't turn black that way, they will stay yellow. I haven't actually tried that, I have only heard about it.
2. Try a peanut butter and sliced (raw) banana sandwich, on white bread.
3. Even more tasty, though, is a fried peanut butter and banana sandwich. This was a favorite meal of Elvis Presley. There is probably an official recipe, but the easy one I use is: Fry slices of white bread in a frying pan (low heat), with some melted butter or margarine, until the bread is golden-brown on one side. Then let the bread cool down a little, spread with peanut butter, and add raw, sliced bananas. I think it would taste even better if the bananas were also warmed up or cooked, but I have never bothered to do that part (I'm not even sure how I would do it).
Oh, and don't forget that bananas are a super ingredient in ice cream sundaes, especially with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, pineapple sauce, strawberry sauce, whipped cream, etc.
Also, I think the best dessert I ever tasted was a frozen chocolate-covered banana. I'm not sure exactly how they did it, but the chocolate was placed on the banana before the whole thing was frozen. It was real chocolate, not just syrup, I'm pretty sure.

Thanks everyone. I love banana milkshake, coggles, so I'll definitely try that one. Banana cake looks brilliant, glif, so I'll do that one too.The peanut butter fried sandwich sounds like a real killer, I'm not surprised Elvis liked it. I'm allergic to peanuts, but maybe fried banana sandwiches. Chocolate coated bananas has to be good -- in fact anything with chocolate has to be good. Thanks again everyone.
two ways of doing the frozen choc banana thing. either way, peel banana before freezing. One is to use melted cooking choc, the other is to use that magic shell stuff sold to put on icecream, it is liquid at room temp but sets just about on contact with anything frozen. Using either method its easier to do but less impressive to cut the banana into chunks before freezing... has anyone mentoned banana daquiris yet?? or loads of banana sliced into custard or blanc mange and allowed to set Nanny Oggs cookbook has a recipe for bananananana soup surprise (she can spell bananananana but isn't always sure where to stop)
banana toad in the hole made with sweetened batter and served with heated jam and custard.....got to go for a lie-down
Banana fritters are really nice. Dip in Coating/Pancake batter, fry them, roll them in sugar, and serve with Vanilla Ice-cream.
Good old bananas and custard, yum yum school puddings.
Best thing to do is let them go really ripe, bung them all in the freezer as is, then get out as required for banna bread/cake. Blackened bananas are essential for this and don't forget the chef's secret, only ever use goat's yoghurt as the liquid ingredient.
Allow to ripen fully, 1) make some banana wine, 2) when made, add sugar and whiskey Yeaa! Banana Whiskey Liquer" winemaker
cut the banana's in half dip in melted chocolate with a popsicle stick stuck in it and freeze them. you have a great frozen snack that wont fill you up or fill you with guilt! plus a great way to get you kids to eat fruit
