Two helicopters?

If pigs could fly!
I always thing it`s terribly sad the the police shoot an escaped cow. It`s a cow for God`s sake. Hardly life threatening. I remember when I was about 8 or 9 years old and I managed to capture an escaped horse that was galloping around the roads. It wouldn`t have entered anyone`s head to shoot the poor thing.
I hope all you lot who thought this was a hoax now say sorry to Ivorlttelein.
well I for one am not apologizing as there were not 74 policemen, nor 2 helicopters nor 20 police cars -oh and hang on -not 5 cows either but three lol! Why exaggerate? it would have been a daft enough story and more believable had you reported it truthfully.
I was stuck on the Coast Road when this was going on , 1 helicopter,9 or 10 police cars just off the main road and cows on the dual carriage way. Saw two being herded off the main road to safety and since read the last one was shot by police, not sure why they had to shoot it though.
Ivor's mistake was to not exaggerate enough!

I have just read that the farmer is blaming it on the goat.

i'm surprised that the original poster is being accused of exaggeration considering his name
yes I think he had a bit of poetic licence when he wrote his post

Believe me I sat there long enough to count 3 cows 1 helicopter and 9 police cars and another possible one just out of my line of vision

Whereabouts was it?
It was on the A1058 Coast Road in North Tyneside
Thanks,Jasmin.
I see he's flounced...
Didn't even bother with the form :-(
Yeah, some blokes are funny like that. They don't like being called liars. (especially when the 'gist' of what they were saying was true)
How sad that some holier-than-thou ABers take it upon themselves to hound others off the site.
I cannot speak for others but I could not and still cannot fathom how someone can count 74 people similarly attired who would have been, presumably, moving around.

Hounded off is a rather strong term to use in this instance.
Hounded off the site ?? If posting the true version of events is hounding , then guilty as charged.

I'm willing to bet Ivorlittlein exaggerated the numbers only to emphasise the point he was trying to make - that the incident was very much over-attended, and to use police resources in this way is not on.

I don't suppose he expected folk to take him quite so literally as it's pretty obvious (to me, anyway) that he couldn't have physically counted 20 police cars and 74 policemen.

It's a shame he felt the need to deactivate his account. We all exaggerate from time to time. It's not like he made the whole thing up. :o(

I'm sure the OP has not gone very far, probably just wanted to close one of his accounts and thought he'd provoke a few 'poor guy getting hounded off the site' type comments. He actually said in his following post ' My post tomorrow will be the last on this site' -how weird is that? Pre-Flouncing, is there a Form for that?

To whom it may concern: Tomorrow at .............I give notice I will Flounce. This is to pre-warn those who wish to commiserate, mock, blame the cliques or just generally join in the tut tutting., It also forewarns that the banal posts on politics and other peoples boring holidays may be,for a short while, injected with large doses of Hypocrisy and general Pontification, Signed....... LOL!
