Those mugs being the Tories ?

I have doubts it will improve under any of the parties/individuals up for selection.
This Labourite thought the quality of life of most people in the country would improve under Miliband - not necessarily mine in particular.
^Why on earth would you think that? Given Labour's recent record which clearly demonstrates that it is not the party of the working man, I simply don't understand it.
.

Nick Thingey of the Beeb said that Ed Balls was the brightest economist in the house of commons

OMFG
It wouldn't have changed one iota, if the Tories have taught me one thing...it is to look after number one (by whatever means)

Other than mikey, the ones who seemed to be worried about major lifestyle changes are the Right wingers.
I can not know, but judging from past achievements of the UK parliament, I fear it may be so.
These will be the same mugs that ensured your life hasn't been lived miserably in fear of ill health ruining you financially?

"if the Tories have taught me one thing...it is to look after number one (by whatever means) "

my parents and life have always taught and confirmed that that is my responsibility to myself and my family...i couldnt give a monkeys about everybody else...natures rules, survival of the fittest and all that....
Then why ask anyone else's view? You either believe in your own total self reliance, or don't.
It's a shame that you can't allow that other humans have different views, or that there is a need for altruism.

Ah, so no more whinging about immigrants then?

when they affect my country yes then they are affecting me and mine...
so to ignore them and the damage they do one way or another is negating my responsibilities to myself and family.....
Survival of the fittest works best on a group level.

Nothing wrong with being self reliant as long as one does not lose the advantages of being in a community and looking after each other.

One can snap a stick at a time, but barely bend a bundle bound together.
