Aw RIP that is sad, great songs and no-one wore tight trousers better than him.
nooooo...what happened ?
so sad Tony, remember the This is your Life, he came across as a lovely family man ....
Yes he did, minty. I'm sure his music will be remembered for many years to come though.
Very sad. Emma was one of the earliest songs I remember hearing.

RIP Errol
this was quite controversial for its time....

He was the first pop star I ever met.

I was eighteen, working in the bar at the hotel they were staying in, and I asked Erroll for an autograph for one of the barmaids who was too shy to ask for herself.

He was so cool, with his shaved head and an ankle-length rabbit fur coat.

The band were playing a Christmas Eve gig at a local venue, and the next lunchtime Christmas Day, I served Patrick Olive the bassist with a drink. I asked him if he wanted to come to ours for Christmas dinner, but he declined, saying he was meeting friends, but he seemed pleased to be asked.

RIP Erroll, you were a gentleman when I met you, and it seems, every day before and since.
Sad news, RIP Erroll
Rip Errol. You'll be singing in heaven to the angels now.
