How many calories can you potentially burn by doing 20 mins on a cross trainer??

mmm depending on how fast your moving, I would say under 200. I may be wrong, so wait and see what everyone else says.
I found a site that said you can burn 300 cal in 20 mins, and I believe it...but you really have to be movin' it to loose that many in only 20 minutes. So I would imagine my guess is pretty accurate for the average healthy person.
I learnt that jogging or fast walking upto 40 mins allows you to burn up starches you've consumed today it's only after that that you can start to use up your reserves
Going at level 5, I usually manage about 280
