This morning I listened to a discussion on St Patrick’s Day where the general consensus was that it’s a good excuse to get drunk – but seriously – why would anyone deliberately intend to get drunk? I did it a very long time ago and it has to rank among the very worst feelings ever!! What's the attraction?

Haaaa! Well, I didn't mention it at the time but you did type 'mother-in-laws' instead of 'mothers-in-law' the other day, so you may well have something there. ;o)
Glad to see that you appreciate the 'fun' and that's all this is when I use a lingo (actually my Portuguese isn't bad as I have worked down there and, in its written form, it's quite like French)...

AB is an outlet for some fun, the occasional serious comment and mix them up together and do some threads need lighter asides from time to time!

Anyway, this is digressing from the topic. Tipsy okay but getting rat-arsed so that one loses control, no way. I don't appreciate the morning after, though the better the wine, the less the hangover and if one drinks Riojas, the hangover is minimal - or should I flip this remark into Spanish?
It might be fun for you, DT, not much fun for others reading a thread.
I'll ignore that.
I'm not sure that telling someone you are ignoring them actually counts as ignoring them.
