Should these viewers face an increase in their vehicle insurance?

/// One in 20 of those questioned say they have had a near-miss or an accident while rushing home to watch television. ///

/// Shockingly, six per cent said they would break the law by speeding or jumping a red light. A further six per cent were guilty of road rage while trying to make it home in time to catch what judges Len Goodman on Strictly or Gary Barlow on X Factor had to say about their favourite acts. ///

I don't know about others, but I find Saturday's TV programmes among the worst of the week's viewing.

Is it possible that 19 in 20 were rushing away to AVOID television ?
I think 6% of ABers admit to speeding any time, telly or not, because they know the law was not made for smart drivers like them.
Cannot help but think this is just hyping the programmes that these tabloids fill their papers with the rest of the week. In terms of viewing figures satirday night is not much higher that a weekday night, and as it is the weekend, you would expect more. Monday nights Eastenders got 9.6million viewers and last saturdays Strictly 11.4million. In April the Royal Wedding got 24.5million and there were no reports of traffic chaos or near crashes.

Most of us have access to On-Demand playback and +1 channels, so the story is even more difficult to believe.
I noti9ce Big Brother is not blamed. I wonder if there is a reason for this.

There is - Richard Desmond. Express and Channel 5 are both parts of his empire (although it's difficult to see through all the holding companies etc.)
