The dogs are back after spending a week at a friends kennels (I was unable to look after all of them so 8 were kenneled).

They came bounding up the path at what felt like 100mph and just jumped all over me.

The house has been empty without them and it's so nice to see them all flat out in their beds. It really puts a smile on my face..... oh then Poodle bit me because I got too close to my mum :D

Thank you so much.
Good to know you care, diz.
ilovebrie a few years ago I had to put my rescue dog into kennels for the first time since I'd had him, just for two days. Like you I was so worried he'd think he'd been abandoned again. When I went to collect him he came across the kennel yard on a lead sniffing at the floor and didn't see me until he was right at my feet. He sniffed, realised it was me and hit the roof. Howling and crying and licking and dragging me to my car, still howling and shaking and he kept that up all the way home. I have never in my life had such a welcome. I still fill with tears when I think of how pleased and relived he was to realise he wasn't abandoned and we were going home. He died a few months after that incident but he was n old boy.

ilovebrie: Just in case you haven't seen my previous posts; I run a dog rescue and rehabilitation centre. We deal with dogs that have been neglected - sometimes beyond rehabilitation to an extent where they can't be reintroduced into public. This means they live out their lives here but in comfort.

DaisyNonna: I'd do anything for a dog, we all would (at the rescue).
