This seems a good place to mention another bargain that many people seem unaware of:
Full access to the OED's online dictionary costs £215 per year if you take out a personal subscription but you can use the site for free simply by entering the number on your UK public library membership card (omitting any gaps in it) here:

I'd never heard of wordery. I was going to get the new Chambers from Amazon, which I've been using for years for all book purchases (Kindle and hard copy) - admittedly with some degree of guilt because of the UK tax issue. But Amazon was quoting £56 or more plus P&P, so I started looking around.
The missing words were the ones that were highlighted as "interesting" in Chambers 2011, I think. And apparently the feedback was along the lines of "don't tell us which words to find interesting, please." So an instruction went out for the 2014 to "take the grey words out".
This was, apparently, taken literally, rather than just removing the grey background...
