Would like opinions please:

I took my Ipod on holiday with me, left it in my room during the day, when i came back i found the screen had been damaged by the sun. The room couldn't have been too hot, and it wasn't in direct sunlight, but the screen is now all speckled and difficult to read.

Is it worth trying to contact Apple to get it fixed?
And/Or should i claim on my Travel Insurance? If i do claim, would they accept my version of the events, or should i claim it was lost or something to get a replacement?

Ideas/thoughts appreciated!

I don't think Apple would want much to do with it. You could try claiming on your insurance, but see if it's worth it or not.

May be just as cheap overall, or at least less hassle, to get a new one?
