It's a very interesting and thought-provoking article, and he is right to mention to the Sarkozy Jewish thing, because mush as I love Charlie Hebdo, that is an uncomfortable fact which leaves a lot of people uneasy about the high-flown moral stance they take occasionally.
//one minute it's "I demand that Muslims denounce these attacks".

Then when one does exactly that, he's accused of "crying 'it wasn't us' in the usual, predictable, fashion". //

Mealy-mouthed lip service. If ‘moderate’ Muslims truly condemn the actions of ‘extremists’ why aren’t they, en masse, loudly condemning people like Anjem Choudary and others who speak similarly on their behalf? They should be marching in their droves – but they’re not – even though they’re quick to march when their prophet is insulted. There are people on here who refuse to listen to him because they they don’t believe he represents Islam, but he does. He is actually speaking the truth.

Someone posted this a day or so ago. Listen to him.

/// As for "integration", one at least of the policemen killed at Charlie Hebdo was a Moslem ///

I wonder if her killer realised that fact? And besides what has that got to do with integration?
// bring back National Service, then perhaps we would see on what side of the fence these young Muslims sit? //

[ and shoot at them....] I marvel at the succinct logic of this post,

first we could instill decent weapons training and then on demob give them a free ticket to wherever.....
Tambo, "Support the west in the quest for peace of innocent muslims caught in crossfire of east internal wars"

I don't see innocent Muslims, every Muslim is supporter of this vile religion. If they don't agree with what is going on then they need to completely and openly dissociate from them.

If I was a member of an organised group of paedophiles but I just looked at the pictures and read their perverse stories but didn't do anything publicly, like campaign for legalising paedophilia, would that make me an innocent paedophile?

If you abide by and pray and support this disgusting and vile religion you are certainly not innocent!!!
.....

yeah I think he did which is why the fleek asked if the gunman was gonna kill him.

The flic's question could be interpreted as "a muslim doan kill another muslim" Muslims butchering each other and not the infidel/kufar ( like it says in the Quran ) has been they say a big factor in disillusioning the British Jihadis in Syria.

You dont get the 67 virgins if you kill one of your own ....

all this is reported speech - I am not posting from a position of experience
I think it would pay us all to keep our heads in situations like this. A few of us are doing a better job than ISIS on themselves :-)

I doubt he's old enough, or even taken the trouble to research the matter, to appreciate why French society would be wholly uncomfortable with a joke thread taking that course. it's just a cheap shot at justifying his own religion's extremism.

Naomi,
I know he's speaking the truth. At the risk of sounding like Ronnie Reagan in the 80s it's time for action, not words. By them, not us! Hopefully the excellent response of the French authorities will make those who are misinterpreting Islam think twice.
But you can turn that argument around to argue against the other cartoons.
Charlie H always boasted that nothing was beyond satire, a view I happen to agree with. Therefore it is, as I say, an uncomfortable incident.

I thought more like, having trained regiments of Muslim National Servicemen, ready to be sent to fight the extremists in the Middle East.

Refusing to do so, could only be a win-win situation.
Question Author
Come on, let's keep it real. No party is ever going to reintroduce national service so it's an irrelevance.
Indeed they have. Isn't Islam a religion of peace?
//I thought more like, having trained regiments of Muslim National Servicemen, ready to be sent to fight the extremists in the Middle East. //

our government tried this with aspiring servicemen from Libya. all that seems to have happened is that they became corrupted by our liberal way of life and got themselves sent back before the training was completed.

Yes but the good thing was, we were able to send them back.
less than 72 hours later and here come the excuses, the justifications

racism of course is such a heinous crime that even God cannot forgive it. QED.
