that making New Years Resolutions is futile?
Or are you different and have actually stuck by a new year resolution and achieved your aim/goal ?

Oh I know you weren't preaching - I'm a lost cause anyway.;-)

KM, not perfect, just disciplined, two reasons for that, a long time as a RM, and the last 5 years as a Diabetic, no medicines involved, just diet and exercise controlled, doing well so far, but it takes a lot of willpower at times, I do it because I don't like the idea of the alternatives.
Here Baldic..I have serious issues, sadly I *have* to be controlled by medicine but diet helps. I think some people are just too pious about health issues, just sometimes a lifestyle change alone would kill you.

I actually ..at times just stop short of 'there but for the grace of......' and that's only cos i'm an athiest ;)

I wish you all the best of health x

Mamya...you know I love you x♥

nailit....sorry for hi-jacking your thread to a degree...chat soon mate xx
We're of a 'life's too short' disposition. Himself had a ruptured brain aneurysm in July 2013, they fixed it but it's still leaking. *** happens, it's how you deal with it that matters - each to his own (as long as they don't do it in a preachy way).
I'm very disciplined...ridiculously so... I wont bore you !
Bet you've treated yourself though Baldric over the festive season ...you're human !! ;)
KM: Hijack one of my threads, I don't mind. You actually cheer me up. I like on bloody medicine and I'm only 29. Ain't life gooooooooooood?

Funnily enough, no, it's just another day to me, OH was away, I was dog sitting, left it too late to get them into kennels.
New Years Eve will be the odd treat or 3, probably G & T shaped, we shall see!
sherrardk...I dont do preaching...i'm very sorry if I came across as that ! I've followed your story, i'm very relieved that your husband appears to be through it , you've had a tough time xx
My children lost their Dad in an accident, I do know what 'lifes too short means' only too well but we still can be festive and we still show humility and humanity to others....

On that note...I wish you all a good night and my thoughts are with the victims of the AirAsia flight, the victims in Glasgow, my daughter was 20
yds away,(those who know me will know just how much this has affected me) she didn't tell me as she knew i'd have collapsed in a heap and any one else who don't feel they have a New Years Resolution to resolve xxx
Night KM - Love you too.x
My New Years resolution is to not do another 14 days in hospital. I can cope with 5 or 6, maybe 7, but 2 weeks, no thanks.
Diz you're a gem, you're kind and thoughtful.I wish nothing but good for you .Don't ever change xxx
Just as well nailit's s my mate...he'd have me throttled for owning his thread ;)

Baldric...keep it up....it helps but just sometimes none of us have the option to go without meds. Good health !
Nearly 40 years ago I made the decision to be a vegetarian... and I still am. It's the only New Year resolution I've ever stuck to.
NEVER make one ..waste of time..
