I was awoken at 5.30 am today with really bad pains in my stomach , its not wind , not trapped wind , nor do I need to go to toliet.
The pain is on my right side , just at my waist area and travels across to my belly button , and its not going away , its not getting any worse either , but its really sore, and everytime I try and eat or drink it makes it worse.
My mother in law said it sounded liek appendicitis , so I looked it up online and yup sure as chips it does sound like that , but I have no fever nor to I feel sick, Im just in bloody agony.
I did fone the local docotor on call about 5 ish but becuase of the hoildays thers a message saying ...UNLESS your dead already put the fone down and stop weasting our time you twit, well not those words but same affect.
Juts wondering if anyone ..knows what this could be or anyways to help releif it.

mucho thanks ..liz x

Hi Blyss...just reading this reminded me of the agony of a kidney stone I had about 5 years ago. Do you feel like you need the toilet and then you cannot do anything?Mine was so small it was lodged in the urethra and I eventually passed it myself.I literally could not stand up and the pain went from my belly button and all around my side to my back.I hope you are ok...just wanted to advise and noticed you posted very recently.Take care and if you're in major pain go to A and E.I cried for over 6 hours whilst they ruled out ectopic pregnancy and all sorts of things....very very painful xxxx

thanks barb , I dont feel like I need to go to the toleit , belive me I go all day long .lol
I do feel like pushing though , sounds wierd I know ,

Hi Liz - this sounds exactly like I was in Jan 2004 I didnt feel sick at first but after quite a while I got feverish and threw up. It turned out I had appendicitis and that had caused an infection in my right kidney. it needs checking out. Try ringing NHS Direct - they're excellent.

Good luck and hope you feel better soon x

Could be worth ringing the national health service help line (or whatever it is). I was in absolute agony with a kidney stone a couple of years ago, Mr Spudqueen ended up calling an ambulance (didn't know it was a kidney stone then!) after he got a neighbour who's a nurse to have a look at me. She was worried it was an ectopic pregnancy. If you do feel worse please please go to A&E rather than mess around with your health.

ok doc has been ..he looked like catweesle .
He said he cannot rule out appenditis , but I freaked and said I cant go to hospital , sons not home, hubbys not here , 2 cats and watching next doors house , plus my other 2 kids are here tomorow .
so he left me some painkillers ,Tramadol , and told me to get into bed with ahot water bottle and a drink beside the bed .
so gawd knows what those things do to you .
He said he would call in the morning to see if i was any better and if i wasnt he stressed I would be better in hospital to get it checked.
Hi Blyss, how are you feeling now? I hope you got some sleep and that the pains are better.
Glad to hear that the dr. is going to check on you this morning.

Keep us posted when you can.
Hi Blyss,I hope that you are feeling much better this morn,I had exactly the same thing few years ago and had no fever etc but it did infact turn out to be my appendix, which they removed the next day.All very quick and I was home in no time at all - so if it is that then dont worry, you will be loads better real soon.

My son had the same thing. they also said they would not rule out appendicitis. a few weeks later I had to rush him to the hospital in the middle of the night ( its not a pleasant thing it was very painful for him). so be careful and get yourself to the hospital if you feel the pains coming on again.

hope it isnt your appendix though, hope you feel better soon x

Blyss,

Appendicitis can be a very serious problem (read life-threatening). If it was to burst then you only have hours in which to be treated and quite often there are complications caused by the subsequent infection taking place in the body.

If your doctor thinks you should be checked out at a hospital then do it ASAP. Make arrangements for someone else to house/pet sit. Your health is a priority -- who will be left to house/pet sit if you don't look after you health?

Good luck.
