Today I got a beautiful card from a friend in Canada with Happy Holidays on the front.Inside was "May you enjoy a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year!" No Christmas on it..I just wondered if cards like this were on sale here.Haven't seen any so far but I've just been to my local card shop.

the French just go for Happy New Year cards. http://rlv.zcache.ca/bonne_annee_2015_french_new_years_greeting_cards-r78c74e4a64cb45abb0fc225d643fa57b_xvuak_8byvr_324.jpg

I've seen them in the past (in Clinton's, if I recall correctly) but not actually bought/sent any. I have, however, sent 'Happy New Year' cards (with no mention of Christmas) in years gone by.
In the US and Canada, Kwanzaa and Hannukah are both celebrated around the same time as Christmas, so non specific cards are quite common.
Hannukah starts a week today and ends on Christmas Eve.

I thought they would be fine for atheists but I see now ok for different religions.
The Russians also just do New Year cards, especially as the Russian Christmas is on 6th January.
My husband suggested a years supply of 'Funny Feet' Walls ice creams as he is a foot man. I love this idea but it's not practical.
Ooooops wrong thread =)
